Position:         Loan Officer

Location:        South Charleston

Education:     College degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training /apprenticeship program.

Experience:   Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.  Recent real estate / consumer loan origination and/or servicing experience preferred.  Must qualify for registration with NMLS to comply with the S.A.F.E. Act.

Supervisor:   Gale Harman

Job Description:   In addition to assisting with consumer loan decisioning, serve as lead loan officer responsible for origination of mortgage loans as well as home equity and bridge loans.  Conducts initial pre-qualification interviews and prepares complete loan application packages and necessary documentation and disclosures. Conveys policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines.  Meets scheduling, documentation requirements and production expectations as determined by the Vice President of Lending. Serves members, prospective members, and business agents and partners related to loan transactions promptly and professionally.  Provides general Credit Union information and cross services to expand credit union relationship to multiple services.
